This Weekend’s Pilatté Launch Is Giving Soft Girl Energy (And Serious FOMO)

If your Saturday plans don’t include the Pilatté Social (Pilatte’s Opening Event, based in Durban), chances are you’re already feeling the FOMO.

Because some launches don’t just sell out, they say something. And Pilatté’s opening event? It’s already making waves before the weekend has even begun.

Fully booked before Saturday even hits, the buzz around the Pilatté Social feels like more than just another wellness event with pretty branding. It feels like the arrival of something intentional, elevated and refreshingly different.

Because Pilatté isn’t trying to be just another Pilates studio and from the sound of its opening event, that’s very much the point.

At the heart of it all is co-founder Natanya Leigh, whose vision for the space feels deeply personal and intentionally designed for women to feel seen.

Natanya Leigh

“Pilatté is more than just a studio to me — it’s an opportunity where females can come to a judgement free space and connect with ladies that come from different backgrounds of life. It’s a space where women can reconnect with themselves, move with intention, and feel both strong and soft at the same time. Being able to share that with so many incredible women at our opening event feels really special and honestly quite surreal. Most importantly I would feel my studio is a safe space for ladies to explore something new and feel comfortable doing it with a supportive community around you,” Natanya shared.

And honestly? That’s exactly the kind of energy the wellness world has been craving.

Where some fitness spaces can feel intimidating from the moment you walk in, Pilatté is flipping the narrative and making movement feel welcoming, elevated, and beautifully inclusive.

“The Pilates industry can be quite daunting when you’re a new timer,” Natanya adds. “This space is for someone to feel that comfort doing something that is seen as a ‘only fit girl’ workout when instead it should be seen as Pilates is for every BODY.”

That kind of inclusivity? That’s the real luxury.

What To Expect at the Pilatté Social

Forget everything you think you know about a typical launch event.

According to Natanya, the Pilatté Social is less about putting on a show and more about creating a feeling.

“The Pilatté Social is all about elevated wellness — think soft, feminine energy with a touch of girlhood. Guests can expect a beautifully curated experience with our main features being move, align, restore and indulge It’s not just a workout, it’s a full sensory experience.”

Translation: expect a wellness event that feels less like a workout class and more like the self-care ritual your week has been begging for.

And if you ask Natanya Leigh what she’s most excited about, it’s not the aesthetic, it’s the feeling guests will leave with.

“I’m most excited for guests to experience how Pilatté makes them feel. From the reformer sessions to the smaller curated stations, every detail has been designed to leave them feeling inspired, grounded, and a little more in love with their routines and also build connections with the people around them.”

And really, isn’t that what the best wellness spaces do? They make you feel like the best version of yourself, without the pressure.

So yes, if you missed out on tickets, the FOMO is valid. But this isn’t a one-time moment.

“We’re already dreaming up more experiences and events,” Natanya shares. “There’s a lot more to come.”

The Pilatté Social takes place this Saturday, with the studio officially opening its doors on Monday.

A new beginning, yes, but one that already feels chic, intentional, and destined to become the wellness spot everyone’s talking about.
