The Queen’s Rules: Love, Success & Owning Your Worth

Being crowned Miss World South Africa is no small feat, but for Zoalize Jansen van Rensburg, it’s just one chapter in a much bigger story – one that’s filled with passion, purpose, and a whole lot of unapologetic ambition. With a future as bright as her crown, she’s proving that beauty and brains go hand in hand. From self-love revelations to her must-have pageant survival essential (spoiler alert: it’s not what you think), Zoalize lets us in on her world.

Love, but Make It Considerate

Forget the grand gestures and over-the-top romance—Zoalize has discovered that the highest form of love is consideration. It’s in how you treat yourself, others, and even your own dreams. “The highest form of true love is being considerate – both of how you treat yourself and how you treat others, as well as your time, your environment, your dreams, and, most importantly, your mind. When others recognise your importance and value your essence, it represents the true definition of love in my eyes,” she shares. And honestly? We’re taking notes.

Beyond the Crown: What’s Next?

World domination? A global takeover? A Zoalize Jansen van Rensburg empire? While all of that could very well be on the horizon, for now, she’s laser-focused on making a meaningful impact. With her next stop being law school, she’s ready to use her education as a powerful tool in her ongoing humanitarian efforts. “I am committed to continuing the work I have pursued over the past several years, and I am eager to see where this journey may lead. Ultimately, my goal is to make a meaningful impact on the lives of everyone I encounter. As I begin my studies in law, I look forward to applying the knowledge I acquire to further my efforts in humanitarian work.” And if we had to bet? The world definitely hasn’t seen the last of her.

The Advice She’d Give 16-Year-Old Zoalize

If there’s one thing she wishes she knew as a teenager, it’s this: stay grounded in what truly matters. Ambition is a beautiful thing, but so is trusting that everything unfolds as it should. “It is essential to stay grounded in what truly matters to you. As a child, I was deeply committed to my ambitions and dreams, yet I often found them challenged by life’s obstacles. It is crucial to maintain trust and hope that everything will ultimately unfold as it is meant to.”

“Each individual has a unique path that has already been designed by destiny.”

…. Excuse us while we tattoo that onto our souls.

Her Ultimate Cause: Youth Empowerment, Loud & Clear

Zoalize isn’t just passionate about giving young people a seat at the table – she wants them to own the whole damn room. “GLOBAL AUDIBILITY AND VISIBILITY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE!” she exclaims. “This is a cause to which I am passionately committed to. As the leaders of tomorrow, it is essential that we invest today to ensure we can lead confidently in the future. I will tirelessly advocate for the importance of our contributions toward the empowerment of youth. Together, we can strive for a more inclusive world that benefits everyone, especially our young people.” And she’s not just talking about it—she’s doing the work.

Life as Miss World South Africa: The Reality Check

Think it’s all glamorous gowns and sparkly crowns? Think again. The reality of being Miss World South Africa is a whirlwind of event-hopping, timezone-switching, and constantly rolling with the unexpected. But instead of letting the chaos overwhelm her, Zoalize embraces the ride. “Being Miss World South Africa demands a level of flexibility that keeps you on your toes. It’s about embracing the unpredictability and finding joy in the journey, no matter where it leads. I’ve learned to cherish every moment, adapt to every situation, and grow with every experience. It’s a whirlwind, but it’s also incredibly rewarding, teaching me resilience and grace under pressure.”

Her Unexpected Beauty Essential?

Forget the fancy serums and 10-step skincare routines – Zoalize swears by hydration to keep her looking and feeling her best through those long pageant days. “Does that even count as a beauty product? ” she jokes. Honestly? It should. “Keeping my skin radiant and my energy levels up is crucial during those long days, and nothing does the trick quite like staying hydrated. It’s amazing how these simple essentials can make such a difference in feeling refreshed and looking your best, no matter how hectic the schedule gets!”

Her Signature Style: Effortlessly Powerful

You’d think her go-to outfit would be a dramatic gown or a killer power suit, right? Nope. Zoalize’s ultimate this-is-me look is fitted denim and a crisp white button-up – a reflection of her mission to serve her community and stay grounded in her humanitarian work. Simple, strong, and ready to take on the world. ” While many would think I would say a glamorous dress or tailored suits as typical “work” attire, I perceive myself as an ordinary individual capable of extraordinary things and my staple pieces embody exactly that; it usually consists of fitted denim paired with a white button-up shirt. This ensemble reflects my readiness to serve my community and fulfil the responsibilities of a humanitarian reminding me of my life’s mission and purpose.”

With her fearless drive, unwavering commitment to impact, and a future that’s looking bigger than ever, Zoalize Jansen van Rensburg is proving that a crown is just the beginning. Watch this space – she’s just getting started.
