There’s a new little girl joining the Matsimbe family!
South African media personality and entrepreneur Ayanda Matsimbe, has announced that she and her husband, Peter Matsimbe, are expecting their third child and their first daughter.
And because this is Ayanda we’re talking about, the announcement came with plenty of pretty details.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, 21 September, Ayanda shared a series of stunning maternity shoot images before revealing the sweetest detail: the couple are expecting a baby girl. A pink cake-cutting moment confirmed what everyone was waiting to find out.
Cue the internet going into full-on “IT’S A GIRL!” mode.
Celebrity friends and followers were quick to flood the comments with congratulations, including Boity Thulo, Dineo Moeketsi and Liesl Laurie.
A baby girl after two boys
Ayanda and Peter are already parents to two boys, Peter Junior and Enzo.
Their first son, Peter Junior, was born in March 2022, while their second son, Enzo, arrived in 2023. Enzo recently celebrated his third birthday earlier this month, with Ayanda sharing a sweet tribute to her youngest son and calling him “the song and rhythm of my heart.”
Now, the boys are officially getting a little sister.
And honestly? We can already picture the matching outfits, the bows and the ridiculously cute family photos.
From family of four to five
The baby news comes just over a year after Ayanda and Peter officially tied the knot.
The couple, who began dating in 2021, got engaged in December 2024 before having an intimate signing ceremony on 29 June 2025, surrounded by close friends and family. Ayanda described the milestone as “the beginning of our forever as a family.”
Since then, it looks like their forever is getting a little bigger.
And while Ayanda has always given her followers carefully curated glimpses into her personal life, this latest announcement feels like another beautiful chapter for the family, only this time, with a little pink bow on it.
